Transparency.

It’s so comforting as a Sunderland fan to have a chairman in Niall Quinn who is willing and able to come out and talk to the press/fans addressing the issues that affect the club. Under Bob Murray, Sunderland fans didn’t have a clue what was going on behind the scenes such as why money wasn’t invested when the club finished 7th in consecutive seasons yet so much was ploughed in after they finished 17th.

With Quinn at the helm, it appears as though he’s quick to drum up support for the club and just as speedy to clear up any issues surrounding the position of the club, the future of the staff and the concerns regarding the ownership of the club. Granted, with the latter, he wasn’t as prompt as the fans would have liked him to be, but it’s just nice to know what’s going on at the club. Kudos Niall.
