Apparently, the title race is back on after Manchester United suffered their second consecutive Premier League defeat at Craven Cottage as Liverpool put in a stellar performance to stroll to a 5-0 win over Aston Villa at Anfield.
Personally, I'm not convinced. United have a game in hand and I just can't see them throwing the title away. Unfortunatley it looks as though the traditional "Top Four" have maintainted their dominance over English, and seemingly European football despite the efforts of Villa and Everton.
However, it's not over yet. Who's to say The Toffees won't sneak into fourth place as United lose to Villa and Liverpool leapfrog them to snatch the title, extending their record of league wins.
At the bottom, it seems as though WBA and Middlesbrough are doomed, as for the third club to go down, it could be Newcaslte, Sunderland, Blackburn, Bolton, Portsmouth, Hull or Stoke. It's awfully tight down their, but I'd be tempted to plump for Newcastle. It's a club swamped in misery and doom. I'd like to see them survive so there's at least one North East derby next season, but perhaps a relegation is what is needed to have a spring clean at St James'.
