The season so far...part two...

The following weeks have seen me cover Spurs vs Liverpool and Chelsea vs Spurs - I've written about both stadia before, so I won't bore you again.

The only other new stadium I've been to this season is Upton Park AKA The Boleyn Ground. I covered West Ham vs Spurs in a game which the Hammers bossed but threw away the lead thanks to some sloppy mistakes.

It was a great experience though with a fantastic atmosphere - when the music is switched off to 'Forever Blowing Bubbles' to leave only the crowd chanting, it is simply electrifying - and the facilities, staff and food were modest, but thoroughly pleasant and utterly enjoyable.

The season so far...

Well, I've neglected the blog for a while, so I'm going to do a season catch-up so far...

Opening day of the seaosn, I covered QPR vs Blackpool. It was a fairly dull 1-1 draw in which Blackpool took the lead against the runof play before QPR found the equaliser. A point a piece was a fair reflection on an uneventful game which was seen as a distraction from the Ashes which was screened in the press box!

The facilities were somewhat limited at Loftus Road and the press box was incredibly badly designed. The staff were lovely throughout though and the press conferences were incredibly intruiging...
